Dateibasiertes Einspielen von Audio- und Videoinhalten

Die zunehmende Ausrichtung der Broadcast- und IT-Branche auf den Controlling-Bereich hat zu Optimierungsprozessen geführt, die ohne Rücksicht auf unabdingbare Notwendigkeiten des Produktionsbereichs umgesetzt wurden. Unter den Einsparungen sowohl im betrieblichen als auch personellen Umfeld leidet nicht zuletzt auch die Motivation der Mitarbeiter. Ein skalierbares, datenbankbasierendes Media-Server-System, das unter Berücksichtigung vorhandener Infrastrukturen und Personalkapazitäten entwickelt wurde, kann Abhilfe schaffen. Im Beitrag werden die einzelnen Komponenten des Systems beschrieben.

The increasing focus of the broadcast and IT industry towards financial-control considerations has resulted in a continuous process of optimisation without taking into account the inevitable requirements of the production process. Not least, the savings in regard to operational as well as personnel matters have a heavy impact on staff motivation. A scalable databaseoriented media server system developed in the context of existing infrastructures and staffing level may provide a solution. The individual components of the system are described in this contribution.
