France’s News Channel franceinfo: Relies On Openmedia NRCS

Newsroom system functionality provided by Annova Systems

At the beginning of September 2016 franceinfo: - a France Télévision, Radio France, INA et France Media Monde joint venture - went live on channel 27, bringing TV workflows into a previously all-radio newsroom.

The content for franceinfo: comes from France Television, Radio France, France 24 and INA. Annova Systems, the current NRCS supplier for Radio France, was the logical choice to provide newsroom system functionality for both news bulletins and longer format news shows as a contribution for this news Channel.

The OpenMedia solution needed to incorporate the new TV channel contributions into the existing and running radio configuration. New integrations via activeX and MOS protocol were configured with Mosart, VizRT Pilot, Snell Advanced Media (SAM) and Autoscript, and relevant workflows were designed.

Annova’s Paris-based team, created only two years ago, was ready to take on the challenge of building the OpenMedia framework for Radio France contribution to the new channel while keeping to the tough schedule required by the customer - and the launch was a success. /
